Oberon airo hydraulic clutch lever7/13/2023 ![]() Posted by Mohamed Soliman on 17th Oct 2019 Hopefully, it lasts longer than the stock units 14,000 miles. The stock unit failed on a 2009 950 SM and we opted for this due to reviews. ![]() No cons except price but I feel its is worth it so far. Also replaced plastic spacer block with Oberon billet piece. Stock cylinder leaked and my goal was to not have to deal with it again. Adjusted engagement point to dial it in at the lever. Same lever effort as stock but improved feel. Reviews I read are positive.Įasy install and bleed. Not inexpensive but you get a nice quality part with improved design and hopefully relibility. The install was very easy, just make sure you reverse bleed to the master cylinder! The lever feel is now better than it was previously. I bought this as a replacement for the stock slave cylinder for my 2015 1290 Super Duke R at 36201 miles. I do not consider the price tag excessive considering the quality and the improvement in clutch engagement. If your slave cylinder is leaking, do yourself a favor, and get the Oberon slave cylinder. Overall way better performance over OEM clutch. Easier 1st gear engagement and selecting neutral was even better. Each bike is different but for me the feel was immediate. I prefilled cylinder before install then performed a suction bleed on slave cylinder and master cylinder. Rottweiler performance has always stocked quality products and is very timely with shipment. Ordered the Oberon billet slave cylinder. Did not want to put another OEM slave cylinder on after reading all the negative reviews. Thankfully I was able to nurse my 2018 Super Duke home. Oem slave cylinder started leaking internally. Recommended by someone to replace the OEM part with this and now I'm recommending you do too! And since it is farily out of sight the scratches really aren't a huge deal. Once installed, the unit works perfectly. ![]() My unit came with some fairly deep scratches on the outer surface which mars the quality look. The orange is nice and more interesting than the stock grey.
